Building a ‘Blended’ future

At the heart of everything we do is our people. At Blended we pride ourselves on the service offered to our customers, and providing our team and apprentices with the skills, training and qualifications needed to build and sustain a successful career in industry.

Together, we are blended

Our strong values as a team are the glue that keeps our business operating. From the guys working on the ammonia plant, the technical team mixing glycol blends, to the drivers delivering product, to the office team handling deliveries and organising sales; each department carries its own set of skills that coincide with Blended Products value proposition to its customers. If we are to stand by our mission statement as ‘Experts in specialty chemicals & gases’ to our industry, the right development, understanding and training of our blended family is paramount!

The added ingredients for a strong career

Harry Telford is the latest apprentice to join Blended as a multi-skilled engineer with a view to joining full time in August, whilst completing his studies at HETA college (Humberside Engineering Training Association). Reporting to Operations manager, Pete Barrass, not only will Harry develop his own career and skills, but he will also be equipped with tools to succeed in a long and fruitful career with a supportive employer. Pete quotes ‘given the expansion and growth of Blended an addition of in-house engineering capabilities will prove an invaluable asset going forward.’

Harry Telford: Engineering apprentice

Harry isn’t the first apprentice to start his journey with Blended! Sales administrator Katie joined in 2020 and is now a full-time member of the sales team with exceptional skills to drive the business forward. Handling transport and logistics issues, placing customer orders and communicating sensitive updates to customers are just a few of Katies strings on her very large bow! Lewis Broughton, now a fully qualified Ammonia transfer technician has worked his way through a huge amount of training to meet the requirements of a highly challenging role within the company handling dangerously toxic chemicals.

As the narrative in workplaces moves to a diverse, inclusive and safe environment for individuals to thrive, we are sold on the concept that a true underlying core value to any development, innovation and creative thinking comes from a team working together solidly for one goal.

We are better, stronger and more sustainable when we are blended.
